HELLO. My name is Luke. I started writing stuff on my computer in my early teens and never looked back... and now I have really sore eyes.

I’m the voice and one of the showrunners of THE OTHER STORIES, an award-winning weekly horror fiction podcast with over 12 million downloads and a monthly listenership of ~150k.

I write weird/scary/funny stuff in a variety of mediums. Recently, this includes the bizarro book, MY DOG SHITS CASH, the interactive fiction game, YOU’RE GOING TO DIE!, and a free mini-comic book called TOAST.

Way back in 2015, I won the best Low-Budget Film Award at the London Short Film Festival for a film I made in 7 days with no camera and no money. It was called KEITH.

I’m also part-owner of the independent story studio, HAWK & CLEAVER, where we bring you the best horror, sci-fi, and thriller stories this side of the apocalypse.

These days I work from a dining room table in the middle of Sherwood Forest.

Some street cred: 2x Vimeo Staff Picks, Best Lo-Budget Short at LSFF, Best Fiction Podcast at This is Horror, Grand Prix at In Short Fest, 1st Prize at Five Lamps 24hr Film Competition, Audience Choice at Focus Film Festival, work featured on TimeOut, iO9, Raindance, Screenrant, Popsugar, Lifewire, Litreactor, The A.V. Club, Cosmopolitan, Thrillist, and This Is Horror.

For a full list of writing credits, see here.

Every year we head to @thoughtbubblefestival and it's always an experience.

This year we danced while drunk and hypnotised by @jamesthefourth's Tiny Onion disco screens, ate spicy chicken with optional chilli bosses, sang songs to a cardboard cutout
A life update…

I’m 42,000 words into a novel I’m writing.

It’s always crazy to me when you get this far into a project. It got me thinking how how progress sneaks up on you, like... losing weight... climbing a mountain... m
From my wedding speech:

Mostly…

You taught me that relationships should never be transactional. You showed me that you should give what you can, when you can, and not to compare it against anything else.

I love my life.

It's not perfect.

My fridge is broken. My back hurts. I don't see my family enough. I had to spend almost a grand to fix my car. I still miss my dog. I feel behind... on almost everything. Some days I wake up and I'm so tired I ca
I don't know this cat, but he keeps trying to break into my house.

He mewls and stares... constantly.

And when he left, I found a small child's handprint on the back door.
Happy Father's Day.

My dad and I spent this last week walking up and down mountains, eating good food, and collecting blisters for our feet.

Within the last year, we climbed the highest three peaks in the UK.

The view from up here... from this side of my life, looking back...

I barely recognise it, tbh.

Thanks for the memories, beers, songs, squashies, and companionship @craigdylan1
Life right now.

I'm writing a lot, living a little.

If you see this, I hope you're having a great day.
Ami khushi. Tini sundor, shitol, and gorom af!

I think I know what I just said.

I’m sure @sillygoose8_4 will tell me if I said something dumb.

Hello I'm older now (on Monday) and as such, I am wiser, grumpier, and have developed Cyclops-style laser vision but it only works when I'm asleep.

My life has changed in so many ways this past year, I barely recognise it. Though that could just be
The Nottingham/London split.

Back from our yearly pilgrimage to #ThoughtBubble in Harrogate. I ate too much... drank too much... and saw so many amazing pieces of art. Also, getting to meet @jefflemire and @wondermasher didn't hurt.

Looking forward to next year!
